General Information!
Admission
Applicants should have a minimum of Grade 12 or be 19 years of age or older and eligible for mature admission.
Prior Learning Assessment
Students may have knowledge and skill achieved through formal and/or non-formal education/training or experience evaluated for equivalency for credit to an Academy of Fashion Design course.The student must contact the Principal for information.
Program Start Dates
Students may begin the Certificate Program at the beginning of each month with the exception of December. Please contact the Academy for the exact start dates.
Job Placements
The Job Placement Director works closely with our students to assist them in finding part-time or volunteer positions throughout the school year. This helps the student gain valuable work experience as well as industry contacts which can be useful after graduation.
Part-Time Students
The Academy of Fashion Design offers full-time study as well as part-time studies. Contact the Principal for Part-time student options.
Extension Division
The Academy of Fashion Design now offers many of its courses by correspondence. You can now study at home and earn your Certificate of Pattern Making, Certificate of Fashion Design or a Diploma of Fashion Design.
