This warmer weather has us dreaming of beach days, however, just because the weather has swung into plus degrees, it isn't time to run to the beach just yet. While we impatiently wait for summer temperatures, we have these hot summer 2021 swimsuit trends to keep us warm.
All tied up
The versatile string bikini is back this year but it has a new look. This trend doesn't only include the famous triangle bikini but also halters, strappy bathing suit bottoms, and one-pieces with waist-defining ties. Swimsuits are all about the ties this year.
Right back to retro
Retro swimsuits are going to be all the rage on the beaches in 2021. Not the 50’s pin-ups though, we are kicking it back to the ’70s and ’80s with colorful patterns and high-cut legs.
Cut it out
Cutouts are a big trend this summer, especially in swimwear. These cut-outs allow for tasteful peek-a-boos of skin that is usually hidden. These sexy cut-outs accentuate all the right curves to make every woman feel confident.
Not so intimates
Last year underwire swimsuits were a big trend, this year we are seeing an expansion of that. We are seeing more and more swimwear inspired by lingerie. The underwire swimsuit is becoming more defined and swimsuits have started to replicate the look of corsets and bustiers.
From the beach to the ball
Formal swimwear is the swimwear trend we didn’t know we needed. These designs include full sleeves, dramatic ruffles, shimmery fabrics, cowl fronts, and bling. Swimwear is starting to become multipurpose and is not only limited to the beach or poolside anymore, but has become acceptable to wear out to brunch with a cute skirt, or for a night with some jeans.
All about texture
Texture is a big trend this summer. It's all about the ribbed fabric meaning fashion is meeting function. These swimsuits stretch in all the right places to make you feel secure in any of your beach activities. This fabric is soft and comfortable so you can spend the entire day soaking in the sun.
Animal Print
Animal print is back again this year. You can still rock your wild summer days in your favourite animal prints but you can give it a new look this year by opting for a more minimalistic version.
Barely-there bottoms
Last year the high-waisted bottoms were all the rage, this year we are going in the opposite direction with barely-there bottoms. This year is all about showing off leg.
