INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Have a minimum of Grade 12 or high school completion.
2. Fill out the Online Application Form and pay the registration fee
3. Request that all official transcripts (from all high school and post- secondary educational institutes) be sent to
Academy of Fashion Design

*Please note that official transcripts must be translated into English. The original and notarized translation is required for International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) as well as for the Academy of Fashion Design. See IQAS https://www.alberta.ca/iqas.aspx
4. Provide proof of Language Proficiency Requirement if English is not your first language

5. Upon receiving your Acceptance Letter from the Academy of Fashion Design apply for your Study Permit through www.cic.gc.ca
6. Notify Academy of Fashion Design by email that your Study Permit has been approved.
7. Payments must be made as indicated on Letter of Acceptance
8. Provide Academy of Fashion Design with your original study permit and passport on or before first day of classes.

- A letter of acceptance from our school
- Proof of adequate financial funding for tuition and lodging
- Confirmation that you will return home at the end of your studies
- A medical exam if needed
- A temporary Canadian resident visa (if needed)
The processing fee is C$150.00. This process takes place when you pass through Canadian Customs
