First Semester is Complete!

The first semester has been very busy and all the students were hard at work.
The students have been practicing their illustrations throughout the semester and we are very proud of their progress. They have learned how to create a colour story and mood board and are well on their way to designing their collection for the year.

The first years started with sewing and patternmaking basics. AS the semester progressed they practiced their sewing on samples and learned how to pattern make different skirts, bodices, and blouses. They are now able to dress an entire model and are very excited to start pants in January!
The second years started with learning the basics of draping and learned how to drape skirts, bodices, cowls, bustiers, and many other garments. They also learned how to pattern make and sew children’s clothes. Before the break, they have been working on learning and practicing tailoring techniques so they can finish up their coats! They are highly anticipating starting jeans and knits when we return in the new year.
